Nikos Dionysopoulos

 

Nikos studied at National Technical University of Athens, and works on systematic research, recording, processing, producing and publishing of traditional music.

One of the pioneers of digital recording and sound processing technology in Greece (since 1984), as well as of restoration of historical recordings.

Has participated as a core member in more than 30 research programs on musical subject in Greece and abroad, as well as in programs of applied digital music technologies.

Has participated as a consultant and sound engineer in more than 10 music documentaries for both cinema and television. In addition has worked for two decades as a specialized journalist in musical press and as a producer at radio.

He is director of the highly prestigious Musical Editions of Crete University Press.
