Among the tombs of officials, after the tomb of sculptor Damophon, appears the Roman Mansion as an exaggeration in the place. It is the residence of a roman official, built over the remains of Hellenistic houses of the 3rd -1st century BCE. Rome with its flamboyant elements has arrived and is seeking for more space and volume.
The Roman Mansion is distinctive because it covers a large space of land and includes an entire housing complex. It isn't just a building but a plenitude of buildings that all together comprise the embellishments of the Mansion. It features an antechamber with a mosaic, a reception hall adorned with marbles, marble statues of Roman emperors and gods as Artemis and Hermes, atriums, guests' quarters, storage rooms, men's quarters and of course the entrance way.
