The active team of Dianthos organizes various activities, among which the touring hikes stand out. And the Sounion National Park is truly an ideal place to explore: it is a site of vast geological and paleontological interest, a place with a history lost in the depths of time, as attested by the scattered archaeological finds, as well as a natural reserve of unique biodiversity.

Dianthos explores the area with cautious sensitivity, aspiring to instill curiosity in the inhabitants for a place which is filled with fascinating questions: locations that await to be discovered, finds which tell enchanting tales, signs and monuments of history that is still being written.

Even today’s visitors feel that they are in a sacred place as soon as they set foot in the Asklepieion of Epidavros. The place where healing was a religious mystery. The sick were cured by the god Asklepios in their sleep (enkoimesis) or received from him instructions on the therapy they should follow. From the sixth century BC until the end of antiquity, hosts of people resorted to the Sanctuary of Asklepios in expectation that their prayers for healing would be heard and answered by the god. Mycenae
