Cholomondas the second in height mountain of Chalkidice with its homonymous peak get to 1.165m, is situated in the eastern and central part of the peninsula. Its altered name is “Ipsizonos”, which means “high vegetation” and describes the places’ unique natural beauty.

Cholomontas is the forest that Aristotle chose to spend a few years of his life. Another path is the “religious theme ride” which characterized as of the hardest. Starting from Vrastama and passing through the cave of Saint Efthimios, which used to be an isolation place for monks, the ride ends again in the village Vrastama.
Mountain Cholomontas offers each time of the year a chance for alternative forms of tourism but also a chance for environmental and ecological education.
