Within the historical centre of Athens, at Vasilisis Olgas Avenue, we find a fully-functional and modern tennis club, ‘Athens Tennis Club’. Its location is not only practical, being just few meters away from Omonoia Square, but beautiful too. The club is located next to the temple of Olympian Zeus and opposite to the Zappeion Gardens.

It was founded in 1895 and since then, never stopped producing Greek athletes of tennis. It was the place which hosted the Olympic games of tennis during the first Olympic games of the modern history, which took place in Athens, in 1896.

Many different athletic groups are using daily the premises, from five-year boys and girls to sixty-year men and women. It is a perfect choice for family outdoor activities, as its courts can be used by non-athletes and non-permanent members of the club by giving a quite small rent per hour.

In its premises it is possible to play squash and bridge and there we find one of the most elegant restaurants of the city.
